Hi,
I created a simple application that automaticly adds lyrics to each m:robe song.
I simple reads all the songs, and look for the corresponding lyric in internet, then it saves the lyric information in the song tag.

i never used the lyrics feature but it was funny to do this.

you can download the application from
http://www.autolyrics.com/mrober/MRober.rar

in the \bin\debug directory is the exe.
you need the .net framework 1.1 to run it.

i hope it helps to someone :)

bye!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO FREAKIN MUCH!!!!!!!

Really, THANK YOU!!! Ive been manually doing this (MediaMonkey has shit lyrics function) for well over 3,000 songs (have gone through about 1000 so far).

Mind if I mirror it on my server?

EDIT: A request if I may, would it possible for you to make it so I dont have to have my m:robe hooked up? I would prefer to have the MP3's tagged with lyrics on my PC as well as my m:robe, but I use m:trip (yeah yell at me) so my MP3's have messed up names, so its hard for me to know which folder has which album.

ok. its very beta but,
you just start the application, hook your m:robe to the pc and turn it on.
then push the Load! to load all the songs you have in your m:robe.
then you select one or more songs from the list and push the "Get Lyric" button, now for each song you selected a window will be open with the lyric of that song. then you push "Save Tag" to add the lyric to that song.

did you get it working??

pd: the "Copy" button is for coping then song from the device to your hard disc with a meaninfull name like "Aerosmith - Amazing.mp3" instead of "M0001232.mp3"

Yeah I did get it working. It places square boxes in place of ''s (thats the ' character). As far as I know both the 100 and 500 are able to read ' perfectly fine. Also, it seems to only get 1 lyric at a time, so if I select a whole album (multiple songs) and get lyrics, they're all the same lyrics for the last song.

I know its in beta, Im not bitching its a very great piece of software, just helping debug :)

Probably because you don't have the .Net Framework installed. Try getting it first and then run the app.

Yes, I installed it before I tried running the program. Then after it gave me the error I reinstalled the .net framework and it still didn't work.

Very odd. Try searching for the .dll file on Google and manually put it into your C:\Windows\System32 folder. That might do the trick.

you only need the .net framework 1.1 redistributable package.
