Yes, they work for both. However, some features will only work on the MR-500i, such as m:terpreter's image sync function. Robephoto also only syncs with the 500, since it only syncs images.

if I may insist :
robephoto doesn't transfer pictures but create the pvm files and thumbnail 640x480 from the /Dcim directory to watch the picture galleries on MR-500i
To transfer pictures : we just copy the files into a directory of the external hard disk.

Robesync link is fixed. Sorry, my (the host's) connection was playing up but it's fixed now. I use robesync under linux and it works great. Just make sure you have full write access to the mrobe (the system directory is by default read-only but `chmod -R 777 /media/mrobe/*` as root fixes that).

After trying several of the programs listed here, without sucsess, i decided to try using Windows Media Player 11 (beta). The sync worked perfecly and it is a very user-friendly interface with drag and drop.

ghainma, I just replied on another forum here, asking for you to confirm if Win Media Player actually syncs. Your post just above seems to say YES!, that is WMP 11 (beta).. This is great news. Anyone else tried this and repeat confirm this breakthrough development.

ghainma, please give a 1-2-3 stepwise tutorial of what you did to load and sync, using WMP 11 beta, of say a CD album's worth of songs.

best wishes

jamelikat

I just downloaded SyncDrop and drag and dropped an .mp3 file onto the syncdrop exe file And it synced with my mr-100 but I cannot remove the device safely. I'm on an XP and I've tried to go to the icon on my taskbar but it tells me somehting like "The device cannot be removed now, try again later."

If no files are being transferred to or from the m:robe, you can disconnect it without using the Safely Remove Hardware feature. However, I suggest you make sure that the device isn't in use before you do anything.

What are the benefits of using one of the alternative programs like dropsync over the m:trip software. I realize the m:trip isn't very good but I'm looking for specifics.
