Going to play with my MRobe 500i tonight to see if the installer will work under Win XP Pro x64. Has anyone tried to install under this version of the windows OS?

I had been dual booting but feel I can go 100% to Win x64 if I can get the Mrobe and my IPOD to install.

I doubt it will work. Software support for x64 is sketchy at best.

Well, he's already using x64 for everyday use, he only uses the 32-bit version for his iPod and m:robe.

:D MTrip will run on WinXP x64 Pro; I played around with all the various releases and patches, bottom line is the only version compatible is to install the 106 patch (it's the only version that recognizes the M:Robe) and then you must apply the 106 fix by copying the replacement dll file. You don't need to use the compatibility mode settings!

Also for those that care, my IPOD works like a champ in x64 also, I use ANAPOD to drop my files on it.

I suggest you use Winamp with the ml_iPod plugin to manage your iPod. That would eliminate the need for another peice of software to manage the player, plus Winamp is a great audio player and the plugin is very stable.

I have Wnamp 5 and the Ml_Ipod plugin, but I'm used to Anapod as I have been using it for a couple of years now. At any rate I have made the switch to x64 full time as the M:Robe was my last hurdle to cross!

Well, good for you. It seems the x64 platform has really matured in the past few months.

according to soondae, mTrip 1.06 with the dll file fix will work, has worked fine for him in XP Pro 64 see here > viewtopic.php?p=2343#p2343

pm him if you need to ask him directly any more questions. Or post again on here to get help if needed.

best w.
